There's no need for a dedicated social media client; much more convenient to use this and have my accounts with me on any computer via a browser interface.
This zimlet is my favorite client to use twitter from. Lots of cool features. And just a tab away in my Zimbra Desktop!
A great way to quickly glance at your social networks without leaving your email program.
Apologies. This is not a review but there is nowhere to send a support request. I installed the zimlet on the server successfully on 6.07, and enabled it in the default COS and in my user account but nowhere do I see any option in preferences to enable the social zimlet.
Any advice appreciated.

Easy to use and really no fiddling needed. Only a bit overwhelming at first sight, but that's easy adjusted to your personal needs.

As there is already a LinkedIn Zimlet in Zimbra 7 I wonder why I can only search contacts in LinkedIn? It woult be great if we could use the social zimlet to post status messages to Linked in via the socialise bar.
Integration to XING would also be highly appreciated.
For Facebook and Twitter it is great!

and it would be cool if it were customizable so you could use it with up-and-coming sites such as Darksunlight Productions.
i use darksunlight much more than even facebook.

When it is installed, its description in Zimbra is ${msg.description}, and the users can not add it to the list of zimlets in preferences. I do not know how to file a bug report on this zimlet (this is why the zimlets are bad, in general. It is nearly impossible to contact the creater of the zimlet!!!)
The old version worked fine... although adding support for other sites (who uses digg? no-one, thats who) would be nice (reddit, etc).
I have problems setting up Twitter.In the Zimbra forum I found that these problems exist on Linux, Windows and Snow Leopard. Myself using Zimbra Desktop 1.1.1 GA. Since 7.0.1 this problem was not solved.
It's my favorite one, it makes me more addicted as twitter user because there is so many awesome features. I'm so excited on it!

This Zimlets (ver 3.4) can't change / add facebook status, when we use UTF-8 code (tested with Polish UTF-8 - ZCS 7.1.3).
I love this zimlet: 1 click to update facebook and twitter!
Will there be any support for other "networks"?
Currently I also post status updates on linkedin and yammer and it would be nice to integrate them all together!

I have deleted facebook account as it was not working. since then I have been trying to add facebook account without any help.
When I add the facebook account, it goes to the browser to authenticate and then nothing happens. No Facebook account has been added. I have reinstalled the social Zimlet. But the only twitter account is showing , no facebook account.

As so many other people, I can't add a FaceBook account.
Too bad, seems like it would be a great option.
Would like to see the functionality added back, is an update expected?
This would include removing the TweetMeme and Digg functionality since TweetMeme is gone and Digg no longer has an API available.

I could not load the facebook account, found a post on the forum about loading in web browser still didn't work.I tried 3 browsers (IE, Google chrome and Firefox) finally decided to load earlier versions of the zimlet and try them.version 2.1.7.8 worked, I did try to load the latest version again but it would n't connect.In the Zimbra preferences tab, click zimlet and open the zimlet gallery. find the social zimlet page and download version 2.1.7.8.open zimbra and click setup, click open in web browser. go to preferences tab and unistall the version of social zimlet. Then install the older version of the zimlet.when setting up the account i had to clear the browsing history after each time before i clicked the next button.goodluck
