Great idea, support for 7.x?
Great idea as for the functionality, it's exactliy what I'm looking for.
ZCS 7.x is not supported unfortunately (error message "$ not defined"). Are there any plans for supporting 7.x? I guess you're using ZCS 6.x in UoG and that's why 7.x will not be supported before you update ZCS :-).
I can "help" by testing development versions of this zimlet.
Regards,
Jorgeos
Thanks for your feedback. We have updated the zimlet and now it should work for version 7.x as well.

Re: Great idea, support for 7.x?
After a few minutes testing in Zimbra Desktop 7.1.2 it works like a charm! Great job and thanks for fast update regarding 7.x support.
Jorge
PS: rating updated to 5 stars :) (4 stars were just for lack of 7.x support)
Great Idea .. but
He indeed a great idea but as Jorgeos I have the '$ not defined error' with the latest fix .. anywhere I can help to get this corrected?
Whoops, sorry. An older version was uploaded in place of 1.3. If you try downloading again, you should no longer see '$ not defined'. The latest version should also work with Zimbra 6 and Zimbra 7.

Great Idea ... and it works
Thanks guys, this is starting to give Outlook a run for its money!
7.1.3 work
works well @ ZCS 7.1.3 64 bit
can't work corectly with IE 8/9
Can't work correctly with IE 8/9 (ZCS 7.1.3).
Users can't see menu sidebar after enable this zimlet.
7.1.3
Works great in Firefox 7.0. However when I use it in IE 8 the other tabs at the top disappear.
I have uploaded version 1.4 of the Zimlet that controls the visibility of the sidebar using options added to the "View" menu of the standard toolbar. This should address the Zimbra 7 + IE problem of the menu bar disappearing. I don't have a Zimbra 7 install handy for testing, bu I would appreciate feedback from anyone who does and has a chance to test Zimbra 7 + IE with the new version.

Firstly thank you for
the quick response.
Ver. 1.4 still seems to have an issue with IE. It appears the severity of the issue has increased.
In
the previous version it simply removed the other tabs at the top, Mail, Address
Book etc. Now once you choose to hide "News and Events" not only are
the tabs missing but the button to display "News and Events" disappears. It's
almost like the tabs and button are relocated off the bar. it's reminiscent of
a div issue I once had in a web app.
Re
This zimlet is not functional. Doesn't work in the popular browser-IE. Many people use IE on a daily basis. I have many (k) users. I can't prevent anyone from using IE, because it is a good browser.
Only task items from "Tasks" showing
Running ZCS Network 7.x and this Zimlet seems to work well on Safari in Lion. However, I noticed that only task items from one task list, the original "Tasks", is showing up. I have several lists I sync with my iPhone and none of those items are actually showing up. Just wanted to FYI you. I like this Zimlet.
Need to fix the IE bug
Same problem as others have already noted. IE 8/9 is broken when this Zimlet gets enabled. The Zimbra tabs (Mail, Calendar, etc...) all disappear.
7.1.4 does not work
hi
I get the error
ReferenceError: $ is not defined
6.0.15 - 7.1.3 doesn't work
Hi,
this Zimlet doesn't work for me on both my Zimbra servers.
It shows "$ is not defined".
Not working with 7.1.4
I get the error "ReferenceError: $ is not defined"
I downloaded the zimlet here and the last update is on Jan. 25 2012 but the youngest file in the zip is from Oct. 7 2011
Breaks IE
Hi,
thanks for the cool zimlet, but it breaks compatibility with IE, http://www.zimbra.com/forums/administrators/54231-tabs-missing-zimbra-web-client-ie.html.
Any solution?
Still the "$ not defined"-error
Hi!
I've downloaded the current version, but I still get the "$ not defined"-error. The xml-file says
version="1.1.4"
Is this still the wrong version?
Kind regards
Dennis
