This Zimlet allows you to perform several maintenance tasks on your Address Book to help better organize contacts.
Cleanup
=======
- Move Some contacts in one Address Book to Trash (or some other folder). For example, move contacts whose email contains "gmail.com" to Trash.
- Move some contacts in ALL Address Books to Trash
- Move ALL contacts in some Address Books to Trash
- Move ALL contacts in ALL Address Books to Trash
Merge
=====
- Move all in multiple Address Books to a single Address Book
"Sort and Store" (aka "File-As")
================================
- Zimbra by default sorts contacts by lastname but lot of people want to sort by company name and one of the way you can achieve this is by filing them as "(Company) Firstname Lastname" or "Company Lastname, FirstName" or "Company"
- You can use File-as Action to simply file all your contacts in a specific format for consistent appearance
Tag
===
- Tag all contacts that contains some domain (for example, "zimbra.com") with some tag (for example, "Zimbra Folks")
Contacts with Phone Number
==========================
This is particularly useful for mobile users to move all the contacts that have a phone number into one folder.

Doesn't work on my server..

absolute failure for me too .... same version 6.06
Too bad the interface forces me to give at least 1 star. Subtract that out with a sad face :( - that is my rating.
Works Great!
First of all We're running:
Version 6.0.5_GA_2213.UBUNTU8_64.FOSS
This Zimlet worked great! One of the employees we manage at our company didn't like the lastname, firstname organization of his contacts. He seemed very skeptical of Zimbra at first, because of this we've removed some of his fears.
Just a quick note, It didn't work with shared contacts, I'm assuming this has something to do with the Zimlet API and a sort of security restriction enforced on Zimlets, just a guess really.
@gettyless - I don't know what you mean by the interface. It's pretty straightforward and simple. I suppose a few more features could be added, but it does what is advertized, and that's all that really matters.

Does not work in IE 8 or 9
Zimlet works great in firefox!!
Are there any plans to get this working with IE8 or 9? i currently use Zimbra 7.1.1 and while using this Zimlet in IE8 or 9 I just get a grey bar accross the screen where the zimlet would normally show. The grey screen spams the entire screen but has the same height as the zimlet.
I would give 5 stars if it worked in the browser most people use at our company.
