Email Reminder
This Zimlet enables you to set a reminder on emails.
How it Works:
The Zimlet displays an "Email Reminder Setup" dialog whenever you flag an email or conversation. The dialog allows you to create an email reminder. You can also drag-and-drop the email onto the Zimlet to create a reminder.
Details:
Calendar is used to store and show the reminders. A separate calendar called "Email Reminders" is created with free/private appointments that represent the reminders.

Ever send a note to someone and then forget to followup? (such as if they fail to respond) This Zimlet helps you overcome this, but allowing you to post a reminder to your calendar, for subsequent followup.
I use this Zimlet constantly.
This is a good solution. I was always using the calendar method. But check out the mxHero Zimlet. With the server and zimlet you can set a reminder on your zimbra email that is directly tied to your recipients response.
Ex. You send an email with mxHero's Reply Timeout. You set it for 3 hours. If your recipient does not respond in that time you get an alert notification. Better yet, if you send to 3 recipients and only 2 respond, you get an alert notice for the third guy!
In other words, no need for a calendar entry and no reminder if you get a response!
I use it on 80% of my emails - really!
Warning: works only for ZCS 1.7.3 and up.
